About our concrete contractor business in Ridgecrest

Ridgecrest Concrete is a small local crew that pours driveways, patios, slabs and foundations in Ridgecrest, and we put the most care into the ground under them.

How I got into concrete in Ridgecrest

I started as a helper on a small concrete crew, hauling forms and pushing mud, and I learned the trade one pour at a time. In 2017 I started Ridgecrest Concrete here in Ridgecrest, and I still run a small crew and answer my own phone. Homeowners call us for driveways, patios, steps and slabs, and property owners call us for footings, foundations and lots. We take jobs in Ridgecrest and the cities around it, and you'll find all the work we do on our home page.

Hauling forms taught me that most concrete problems start under the slab or before the pour. A base that's only raked level settles with the dirt, and a slab that falls toward the house sends water at your foundation. So we dig out and pack the subgrade, the ground the slab sits on, and check where the water runs before the truck shows up. That work is hidden on day one, so it's the first thing a cheap bid cuts. If money's tight, I'd trim the finish before the base, because a nice top on soft ground still sinks.

How we run a concrete job

The same person, estimate to pour

I come out to look at your job and give the estimate myself, and I'm on site running our own crew when we pour. Nothing you told me gets lost between the estimate and the finished slab.

Prep done before the truck arrives

We get the base packed, the forms set and the water's path checked before the truck shows up, and we plan the pour around the midday heat. That prep decides how your concrete looks and holds up for years.

Estimates that show what's included

Our estimates spell out what's included and what isn't, so you can line up bids on the same work. Ask me anything about your choices, and I'll explain it in plain words, twice if that helps.

Licensed and insured concrete work in Ridgecrest

The state licensing board requires a license for any job that needs a building permit, uses hired workers or totals $1,000 or more in labor and materials, and we're licensed and fully insured. Ask me how that applies to your job.
